In the alpine foothills of the Metropolitan City of Turin, Caprie’s community of just over 2,000 residents nurtures flavors defined by steep slopes and crisp mountain air. This alpine terroir is the birthplace of Valsusa DOC, a rare mountain wine shared across a narrow zone of only 19 municipalities. This same dramatic elevation fuels the sweet, dense Marrone della Valle di Susa IGP chestnuts, harvested from ancient local groves spanning just 28 communities. In total, Caprie hosts 16 protected denominations, transforming this compact Piedmontese enclave into a powerhouse of alpine viticulture and traditional foraging.
