Chianocco

Chianocco clings to the rugged, sun-drenched slopes of the Susa Valley, an Alpine corridor in Piedmont where dramatic altitude shifts shape unique microclimates. This steep terrain yields the Valsusa DOC, a rare mountain wine cultivated across a tight zone of just 19 municipalities. Shaded by the valley's ancient chestnut forests, the area also nurtures the sweet, starchy Marrone della Valle di Susa IGP, a prized local chestnut limited to a territory of 28 municipalities. In total, Chianocco shares 16 protected denominations, proof of how this narrow Alpine pass concentrates intense, high-altitude flavors.
