Nomaglio

Clinging to the alpine slopes of the Mombarone massif high above the Dora Baltea river, the tiny mountain enclave of Nomaglio shapes its viticultural identity through steep, terraced topography. This rugged terrain belongs to the Canavese DOC, a wine zone spanning 104 municipalities where local Erbaluce and Nebbiolo grapes thrive in morainic soils. In total, Nomaglio hosts 15 protected denominations, including Genepì del Piemonte IG, capturing the intense herbal aromatics of high-altitude flora. These steep slopes yield distinctive, mineral-driven alpine wines and spirits that cannot be replicated in the flatter plains of Piedmont.
