Balmuccia, a small community in Piedmont, is defined by its unique geography: the confluence of the Sermenza and Sesia rivers, encircled by peaks under 2000 meters. This specific Alpine environment, with its varied altitudes and distinct flora, cultivates the very essence of local flavors. Among the 13 protected denominations linked to this territory, two stand out for their deep connection to the land. Here, the revered Genepì del Piemonte IG, an herbal spirit, draws its character from high-altitude botanicals, while Toma Piemontese DOP cheese develops its signature taste from the pastures nourished by these very mountain slopes, embodying the region's authentic taste.
