Bernezzo

Situated where the Piedmontese flatlands meet the alpine foothills, the Cuneo province municipality of Bernezzo—home to just over four thousand residents—nurtures some of northern Italy’s most specific agricultural treasures. This small territory is shaped by cool Alpine drafts and fertile alluvial soils, conditions that perfectly suit the delicate Fagiolo Cuneo IGP, a local bean cultivated across a restricted zone of 247 municipalities. In total, Bernezzo hosts 18 protected denominations, including the semi-hard Bra DOP cheese. Alpine pasture influences and mountain water channels make this specific terroir ideal for slow-cured cheeses and tender legumes.
