This alpine-to-lowland transition shapes a distinct microclimate, allowing Caraglio to host 19 protected denominations. The sharp temperature shifts between day and night nurture the crisp Mela Rossa Cuneo IGP, a red apple grown across a zone of 45 municipalities. On the valley floor, the stony, river-fed soil yields the Fagiolo Cuneo IGP, while surrounding pastures supply milk for Bra DOP, grounding the local gastronomy in this alpine topography.
