Sited along the left flank of the Brobbio watercourse, Margarita leverages its damp alluvial soils to nurture a focused agricultural output. The municipality hosts 17 protected denominations, led by the prized Fagiolo Cuneo IGP, a bean restricted to a zone of 247 municipalities. This humid riverside terroir also shapes the production of Raschera DOP, a traditional mountain-influenced cheese produced across a specific 248-municipality area. From these waterside fields and pastures, Margarita converts its particular hydrology and medieval farming roots into highly regulated, distinctively local Piedmontese flavors.
