In Moiola, a tiny alpine community of just 215 inhabitants in the Cuneo province, the steep valley topography fosters a particular microclimate that yields 18 protected denominations. The mineral-rich mountain runoff and alluvial soils nurture the delicate Fagiolo Cuneo IGP, a prized local bean. Higher up, alpine grasses provide the ideal summer forage for herds producing the milk destined for Raschera DOP and Bra DOP cheeses.
