Nucetto

Home to a tiny community of just 387 residents in the mountainous Cuneo province of Piedmont, Nucetto leverages its alpine-influenced microclimate to cultivate and cure some of northern Italy’s finest specialties. Despite its small scale, this quiet enclave contributes to 17 protected denominations. The local terroir is ideal for producing the delicate Fagiolo Cuneo IGP, a prized bean cultivated across a selective zone of 247 municipalities. Additionally, the surrounding pastures supply milk for the iconic alpine cheeses Bra DOP and Raschera DOP, which find their unique aging conditions in these Piedmont foothills, anchoring Nucetto firmly on the gastronomic map.
