Sant'Albano Stura

Sant’Albano Stura, a Piedmontese settlement of just over 2,400 residents, owes its agricultural bounty to the alluvial soil shaped by the Stura di Demonte river. This unique geographic setting in the Cuneo flatlands yields the crisp Mela Rossa Cuneo IGP, a red apple grown across a restricted territory of just 45 municipalities. The local terroir also fosters the Fagiolo Cuneo IGP. Nourished by Alpine waters, the municipality contributes to 18 protected denominations, demonstrating how riverside plains can foster complex regional flavors ranging from fresh legumes to aged mountain cheeses.
