Valgrana

Valgrana, a tiny community tucked inside the narrow Grana Valley of southwest Piedmont, leverages its unique alpine microclimate to nurture some of Cuneo’s most specialized agricultural products. Within this valley landscape, 19 protected denominations thrive, led by the crisp Mela Rossa Cuneo IGP, a red apple cultivated across a select zone of just 45 municipalities. The alpine air and dramatic temperature swings also perfect cheeses like Bra DOP and the herbal spirit Genepì del Piemonte IG. These steep mountain slopes and alluvial soils forge flavors defined entirely by Valgrana's precise altitude and geography.
