Forte dei Marmi

Forte dei Marmi, a coastal enclave of Lucca province with a resident community of just over six thousand people, is celebrated for more than its seaside allure. This sandy stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast nurtures 15 protected food and wine denominations. At the forefront of this maritime terroir is the Lucca DOP, an extra virgin olive oil restricted to a select zone of 19 municipalities, where sea breezes temper the inland groves. Additionally, the maritime clay and sands shape the vibrant Costa Toscana IGT wines, capturing the saline minerality of the Tuscan coast directly in the glass.
