Today, this geological complexity nourishes the vines of the Maremma toscana DOC, a wine designation shared across a restricted zone of 28 municipalities. This specialized production highlights the area’s transition from industrial excavation to viticultural excellence. Alongside this local wine, the territory is safeguarded by 15 protected denominations in total, including the prized Cinta Senese DOP, linking Montieri's historic wilderness to world-class agricultural gastronomy.
