Ceppo Morelli

In the rugged alpine terrain of the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province, Ceppo Morelli’s high-altitude environment shapes a distinct dairy and distilling heritage. Within this mountain enclave, 15 protected denominations overlap, anchored by the highly localized Ossolano DOP, a cheese crafted in only 37 alpine municipalities where cows graze on pristine highland pastures. The steep, rocky slopes also nurture the wild alpine botanicals essential for producing Genepì del Piemonte IG. This extreme northern Piedmontese climate concentrates the herbal oils and rich milk fats, creating intense alpine flavors.
