Lovere

Lovere rises directly along the northern shore of Lake Iseo, where the waters of the Sebino meet the steep Bergamaschi mountain valleys. This lakeside climate directly influences Bergamasca IGT, a wine denomination cultivated across 86 municipalities, benefiting from the thermal winds channelled through the mountain corridor. The junction between alpine pastures and lowland trade routes enables Lovere to claim 15 protected denominations. Among these local specialties is Salva Cremasco DOP, a historic cheese born from the seasonal migration of dairy herds descending from the surrounding peaks toward the fertile Lombardy plains.
