In the steep, rock-carved landscapes of Val Camonica, the municipality of Ceto—comprising the three distinct historic settlements of Ceto, Nadro, and Badetto—channels its alpine topography into a unique viticultural microclimate. Here, high-altitude vineyards yield the crisp Valcamonica IGT wine, a local treasure produced within a restricted zone of 24 municipalities. This rugged mountain terroir shapes a total of 16 protected denominations. From these steep slopes, Ceto's alpine environment also nurtures exceptional cheeses like Provolone Valpadana DOP, where historic transhumance routes have long defined the regional dairy heritage.
