This unique microclimate fuels the 16 protected denominations overlapping in its territory. High-altitude orchards yield the fruit distilled into the aromatic Südtiroler Zwetschgeler IG, a plum spirit crafted in a restricted zone of 116 municipalities. The same alpine air cures the spiced hams of Speck Alto Adige IGP and dries the rye-based Südtiroler Schüttelbrot IGP, proving that Lauregno's rugged elevations translate directly into concentrated, resilient mountain flavors.
