Scena sits on a south-facing alpine terrace overlooking the Merano basin, protected from northern winds by the high peaks of the Sarntal Alps. This specific topography generates a mild microclimate where alpine air meets Mediterranean currents, perfect for the steep vineyards of the Alto Adige DOC. Among the 17 protected denominations overlapping here, these hillsides yield crisp, mineral-forward wines. Further down the slopes, the dry, mountain-cured Speck Alto Adige IGP matures under the influence of these same daily valley breezes, marrying local smokehouse techniques with alpine-fresh air.
