Terlano/Terlan

Terlano/Terlan rises along the Adige Valley floor, where steep slopes of red quartz porphyry rock create a highly reflective, mineral-rich microclimate. This unique geological volcanic foundation shapes the character of the 17 protected denominations overlapping in this territory. Foremost among these are the mountain-veined white wines of the Alto Adige DOC, spanning a zone of 52 municipalities, and the crisp, valley-spanning pours of the Valdadige DOC. Here, alpine cold meets Mediterranean warmth, concentrating sugars and acidity in grapes, yielding structural whites and robust spirits that reflect the sharp altitude of Bolzano’s western flanks.
