Set at Veneto’s northernmost frontier where the valley rises toward alpine peaks, Comelico Superiore channels its high-altitude wilderness into 15 protected denominations. The extreme mountain climate and unique alpine flora shape the character of Miele delle Dolomiti Bellunesi DOP, a mountain wildflower and forest honey restricted to a zone of 60 mountainous municipalities in the Belluno province. Here, alpine pastures also fuel the production of Piave DOP cheese.
