Rocca Pietore

In the shadows of Belluno's highest peaks, Rocca Pietore’s extreme alpine geography dictates its agricultural output. Among its 15 protected denominations, the local wildflower and conifer forests feed the bees producing Miele delle Dolomiti Bellunesi DOP, a mountain honey restricted to a zone of 60 alpine municipalities. This rugged environment also shapes Piave DOP, a hard cow's milk cheese. The extreme climate and high-elevation pastures ensure that these specialized alpine traditions remain distinct, offering tastes shaped by the cold winds and high meadows of the Venetian Alps.
