Positioned in the damp, spring-fed northeastern plains of the Padua province, Piombino Dese owes its agricultural identity to these mineral-rich alluvial soils. This specialized lowland is one of just 15 municipalities permitted to cultivate the delicate Asparago di Badoere IGP, which thrives in the wet microclimate. Thanks to its position bordering neighboring Treviso, the municipality also excels in growing the vibrant Radicchio Rosso di Treviso IGP. In total, 16 protected denominations overlap in this specific territory, making this corner of Veneto a concentrated hub of strictly defined botanical specialties.
