This flysch-rich terrain helps define the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, a celebrated wine region spanning a tight zone of just 17 municipalities. Here, protective mountain winds nourish vines that produce prestigious whites, alongside the rare, sweet nectars of the Colli Orientali del Friuli Picolit DOCG. In total, Attimis hosts 16 overlapping protected designations, proving that this small alpine-border enclave yields some of Italy’s most sophisticated flavors.
