Recently elevated to official city status in December 2025, Campoformido thrives on the stony, well-drained soils of the Udine plain. These alluvial deposits define the terroir of Friuli Grave DOC, a wine denomination shared across 93 municipalities, where vines yield exceptionally crisp, mineral-forward whites. Beyond its celebrated vineyards, this Friulian community hosts 15 protected denominations, including the unique Brovada DOP.
