Where the Arbia river carves through the rolling Sienese clay hills south of its provincial capital, Monteroni d'Arbia channels its unique riparian soils into 19 protected denominations. This specialized terrain yields the highly localized Grance Senesi DOC, a rare wine shared with just four other municipalities, alongside the historic Val d'Arbia DOC. Olive groves lining the ridges produce the peppery Terre di Siena DOP olive oil.
