Aprutino Pescarese DOP

In Penne, within the Aprutino Pescarese DOP area, Almonti Romano produces extra virgin olive oil. The denomination covers forty-six hilly municipalities in the province of Pescara, a vast territory that slopes from the eastern foothills of Abruzzo towards the Adriatic and imparts a precise identity to the oil, recognizable from the first taste. In the glass, the character is immediately evident: a chromatic range that shifts from green to yellow and clear herbaceous notes, yet balanced by the fruity component. It is a measured interpretation of the terroir, without forcing, where clarity counts more than demonstrative intensity. Each bottle reflects this balance—the vegetal savoriness of the Abruzzo hills balanced by a discreet sweetness—as a constant signature of a single protected origin. The work thus focuses on a single product, cultivated to express with measure the slopes from which it originates rather than chasing a broader range, in a dry dialogue between fruitiness and herbaceous components.
