Armea

From Desenzano del Garda, Armea interprets the terroir of Lugana DOC through a single grape variety, Turbiana, which finds its ideal conditions in the microclimate tempered by Lake Garda on the Brescia side. The winery doesn't stop at a single interpretation but explores the entire range provided by the production specifications: from the crisper, more immediate white to the more structured Superiore, up to the Riserva wines designed for aging. Each version starts from a common threshold, a minimum of 11.0% alcohol, and a precision that this area of five municipalities imposes without exception. The choice to embrace the full stylistic breadth allowed by the appellation, instead of focusing on a single type, speaks volumes about the approach: Armea treats Lugana as a system of possibilities to be explored entirely, where each step—from fresh to long-lived—represents a different response to the same soil and the same lake. The result is a compact and coherent portrait of a Lake Garda denomination, presented in its complete range.
