Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCGCònero DOCGVerdicchio di Matelica Riserva DOCG+1

In the Ancona area and the inland Marche valleys, Leonardi Carlo e F.lli engages with four DOCG denominations, the pinnacle of the regional pyramid. The red wine front is entrusted to Cònero, where Montepulciano and Sangiovese require aging of no less than twenty-four months, and to Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, a black grape that can be crafted into both sparkling and still red wines with significant alcohol content. On the white wine side, the winery produces two expressions of Verdicchio: Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Riserva, both structured and designed for bottle aging. The common denominator is an austere minerality, which the Marche region translates into taut wines, devoid of complacency. Moving from the red Cònero to the two Verdicchio Riserva wines, the winery covers a range of styles without compromising on rigor: four DOCG wines that demand time, discipline, and a faithful interpretation of the grape variety. It is a work of precision rather than breadth, where each label responds to a different soil and a different expectation.
