Barbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG

Founded in 1972 in Santo Stefano Belbo, on the ridge separating the Langhe from Monferrato, Beppe Marino works with a range of indigenous grape varieties—Ruchè, Arneis, Nebbiolo, and Barbera—tailoring each vinification to the specific character of the grape. This results in three distinct guaranteed denominations: Barbera d'Asti, the rare and spicy Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, and Terre Alfieri, a trio that covers the entire stylistic spectrum of Piedmontese hillside reds. 2016 marked a significant shift: production found a home in a restored convent, a choice that combines the continuity of artisan craftsmanship with greater technical precision in the cellar. This is a company that thinks in terms of individual expressions rather than volumes, seeking in each label the precise reflection of the soil and the vintage. The three DOCG denominations serve not as a showcase but as a map: they tell the story of a transitional territory where full-bodied Barbera, elegant Nebbiolo, and aromatic Ruchè coexist under the same winemaking hand, each rendered with its recognizable voice.
