Since 1895, the winery founded by Enrico Verga has overseen Sicilian territories, now managed by the family's fifth generation. The production scope covers the island's two broad regional denominations, DOC and IGP, which together encompass three hundred and ninety-one municipalities. This vast area is home to indigenous grape varieties like Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese, alongside the now-acclimatized Syrah. The result is a range of red, white, and rosé wines, each with a minimum alcohol content of twelve percent. The company's story traces its evolution from a family project to a major player in large-scale distribution, without one identity overshadowing the other. The model established by the founder—combining quality and accessibility—persists through both proprietary brands and private labels, designed for demanding and fragmented markets. Headquartered in Cermenate, in the Como hills, its gaze is entirely fixed on the South: Lombardia handles the administration, while Sicilia ripens in the glasses. The winery is not open for visits.
