IL POGGIO

Il Poggio traces its roots to 1790, when the Fusco family began tending the ancient Samnium hills as farmers. The estate's transition to winemaking arrived in the 1920s, prompted by remittances from a grandfather working in Brazil—a chapter the family still recalls with warmth. Today, Il Poggio produces Aglianico del Taburno DOCG across Benevento's 13-municipality zone, focusing on indigenous varieties. Sun-exposed slopes, warm days, and cool nights craft wines of elegance and refinement, aged 24 months minimum to reveal their structure and depth.
