Berzo San Fermo

Perched on a small plateau rising from the left bank of the Cherio River in Bergamo’s Cavallina Valley, Berzo San Fermo’s unique topography fosters a microclimate suitable for diverse agriculture. This alpine enclave plays a key role in 17 protected designations of origin. Most notable are its local viticultural offerings, including the structured red and white wines of the Valcalepio DOC, a territory limited to just 42 municipalities, and the varietals of the Terre del Colleoni DOC. These hillside vineyards and pastures also yield traditional cheeses, making this specific valley terrace a vital pocket of Lombard gastronomy.
