Brusaporto

On the Bergamo hillsides of Brusaporto, clay-limestone soils and alpine winds shape the distinct character of Valcalepio DOC, a wine zone restricted to only 42 municipalities. This specific terroir hosts 17 overlapping protected denominations, including the local Terre del Colleoni DOC. Here, the south-facing slopes capture intense sunlight while receiving cooling mountain drafts, creating a thermal range that concentrates sugars and acidity in the grapes. This unique microclimate makes the territory an ideal cradle for these high-quality wines, distinguishing it from the flatter plains of Lombardy.
