Gorle

Gorle's viticultural identity is shaped by its position along the western banks of the Serio River, bordering the city of Bergamo. This riverfront terroir fuels the production of Valcalepio DOC, a local wine denomination spanning a zone of 42 municipalities. The alluvial soils deposited by the Serio also nurture the grapes of Terre del Colleoni DOC, which covers 71 municipalities, and the regional Bergamasca IGT. In total, 17 protected food and wine denominations overlap in this compact river municipality, where Alpine breezes meeting river moisture create a microclimate ideal for aging complex red blends.
