In the Bergamasque hills of Lombardy, the community of 7,053 residents in Mapello nurtures an agrarian heritage defined by 17 protected food and wine denominations. Defining these hills is the Valcalepio DOC, a historic wine blend produced across a select zone of 42 municipalities. Mapello’s specific microclimate also yields the single-varietal wines of Terre del Colleoni DOC and the expressive Bergamasca IGT.
