Montello, situated in the hilly terrain of Lombardy’s Bergamo province, benefits from a pre-Alpine microclimate and clay-limestone soils that define its wine heritage. This small municipality is integrated into the production area of 17 protected denominations. Most notably, it belongs to the select 42-municipality zone of Valcalepio DOC, renowned for its Bordeaux-style blends, and the larger 71-municipality territory of Terre del Colleoni DOC, which celebrates single-varietal wines.
