Positioned on the immediate hilly fringes of Bergamo, the municipality of Mozzo—historically home to the Mozzesi community—nurtures a viticultural microclimate shaped by alpine breezes and clay soils. This territory is one of just 42 municipalities permitted to craft Valcalepio DOC, a wine reflecting the local limestone slopes. Across its plots, Mozzo hosts 17 protected denominations in total, including the Terre del Colleoni DOC. These strict geographic boundaries ensure that the wines born here carry the distinct minerality and crispness of Lombardy’s pre-Alpine foothills.
