Pedrengo's viticultural identity is shaped by its position on the left bank of the Serio River, just six kilometers east of Bergamo. This alluvial landscape, where alpine breezes meet the plains, fosters the cultivation of vines registered under 17 distinct protected denominations. Among these, the local Valcalepio DOC—shared across a restricted zone of just 42 municipalities—yields structured Bordeaux-style blends and sweet Moscato Passito. The same river-molded terroir also nurtures the rare Terre del Colleoni DOC, cementing this small riverside community as a vital, highly specialized node in Lombardy's wine map.
