Viadanica

Viadanica, a compact Bergamasque enclave of just 1,128 residents, channels its steep, south-facing hillside topography directly into specialized viticulture. This rocky Lombardy terrain serves as a critical cradle for the structured reds and whites of Valcalepio DOC, a prestigious designation restricted to a tight zone of 42 municipalities. These same slopes nurture the monovarietal wines of Terre del Colleoni DOC, spanning a zone of 71 local territories. In total, 17 protected designations overlap within Viadanica’s boundaries, where alpine winds and limestone-rich soils also support the character of native Bergamasca IGT bottles.
