Yet, this landlocked Brescia community looks to its steep valleys rather than the sea. Here, the terrain shapes 17 protected denominations. Chief among them is Ronchi di Brescia IGT, a wine produced in a restricted zone of just 12 municipalities. Additionally, the rugged pre-Alpine slopes foster Nostrano Valtrompia DOP, a saffron-infused cheese crafted within an exclusive 19-commune territory, proving Nave's true wealth lies in its soil rather than maritime trade.
