This unique geographical setting makes it one of just 22 municipalities authorized to produce Puzzone di Moena DOP, a famously pungent, washed-rind cheese crafted from milk collected in these elevated meadows. In total, the municipality's pristine territory yields 17 protected denominations, where extreme altitudes and mountain herbs also influence regional spirits like Südtiroler Grappa IG and local speck, defining this bilingual enclave's culinary identity.
