Perched just 2.5 kilometers from the Mendola Pass—the high alpine crossing bordering Bolzano—the mountain terrain of Ruffrè-Mendola shapes a distinct microclimate. This altitude, combined with intense alpine breezes, nurtures the exceptionally crisp, aromatic Mela Val di Non DOP, an apple denomination restricted to just 39 alpine municipalities.
