Formed in 2016 from the union of the historic villages of Vigo Rendena, Darè, and Villa Rendena, the scattered municipality of Porte di Rendena nurtures a distinct high-altitude terroir. On these steep mountain slopes, cattle graze to produce the skimmed milk destined for Spressa delle Giudicarie DOP, a lean cheese deeply tied to these valley pastures. This valley’s specific climate also nurtures the orchards producing Mele del Trentino IGP. In total, Porte di Rendena boasts 20 protected denominations, celebrating mountain agriculture that transforms pure alpine resources into internationally recognized flavors.
