Born from the 2019 union of the historic riverbank villages of Zambana and Nave San Rocco, Terre d’Adige shapes its viticulture along the gravelly flats of the Adige Valley. This newly unified territory hosts 23 protected denominations, driven by its unique alpine-river microclimate. The valley floor and surrounding slopes yield the rare, light-bodied red Casteller DOC, limited to a zone of 42 municipalities. On these same gravels, chardonnay and pinot noir grapes achieve the crisp acidity essential for the prestigious, classic-method sparkling Trento DOC, cementing this young municipality's position in Trentino's winemaking heritage.
