Lamon's steep slopes in the Belluno province, historically shaped by sheep-rearing, provide a rugged microclimate that nurtures its most celebrated crop. Here, the Fagiolo di Lamon della Vallata Bellunese IGP is cultivated within an extremely restricted zone of just two municipalities, thriving in the cool alpine nights and fertile soils. This high-altitude terroir contributes to 16 overlapping protected food and wine denominations. The mountain environment also yields Miele delle Dolomiti Bellunesi DOP, demonstrating how this alpine pocket transforms challenging elevations into intense, concentrated flavors.
