Forged from the 2018 merger of Megliadino San Fidenzio, Saletto, and Santa Margherita d'Adige, Borgo Veneto occupies a fertile stretch of the Paduan plain where specialized microclimates shape distinctive culinary legacies. This specific terroir qualifies the municipality for 15 protected denominations. Most notable is the highly localized Prosciutto Veneto Berico-Euganeo DOP, restricted to a select zone of just 15 municipalities, where sweet, delicate cured hams age under the tempering drafts of the nearby Berici and Euganean hills. The same alluvial soils also nurture the crisp, bitter leaves of Radicchio di Verona IGP.
