4 Generazione

In Barile, four generations of winemakers have entrusted a single direction to the 4 Generazione winery: Aglianico del Vulture Superiore. The vineyards rest on the volcanic slopes of Basilicata, where Aglianico finds the conditions to develop the structure and depth that the DOCG demands, along with the thirty-six months of minimum aging that dictate its timeline. On these soils of volcanic origin, the grape variety expresses dense tannins and a rich body, whose prominence emerges only after a long rest. The Superiore denomination imposes patience, and the winery accepts it as part of its language: each harvest becomes the account of a vintage and of knowledge passed down from hand to hand. The bond between the family and the Vulture hill is not an embellishment, but the very method by which the wine takes shape, vintage after vintage, under the sign of a grape that here reaches one of its highest expressions.
