In Treiso, in the province of Cuneo, Giovanni Abrigo continues a family dedication to the most prestigious areas of the Langhe. The winery, designed in 2013 with attention to environmental and landscape impact, works with four DOCG denominations: Barbaresco and Barolo from Nebbiolo, and Dogliani and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba from Dolcetto. Each wine is born from the interplay between traditional winemaking practices and the winemaker's vision, in a balance that unites memory and present. It is in this dialogue that the harmony between two grape varieties of opposing character—the depth of Nebbiolo and the frankness of Dolcetto—and the landscape of Treiso, one of Barbaresco's most acclaimed slopes, is translated into the bottle. The repertoire, entirely rooted in a small patch of hills, thus offers a coherent interpretation of the territory, where the choice of a few well-defined denominations matters more than the breadth of the range, and where the very architecture of the winery declares the sought-after relationship with the surrounding environment.
