ANTICHI PODERI DEI MARCHESI DI BAROLO

🏡 Tastings & visitsBarbaresco DOCGBarolo DOCGDogliani DOCG+1

In the ancient cellars of Marchesi di Barolo, Antichi Poderi showcases the full Langhe repertoire. Six generations have guided the Nebbiolo grape through the 38 months of aging that forge Barolo DOCG, while three other denominations — Barbaresco, Dogliani, and Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, all DOCG — broaden the range towards distinct terroirs and temperaments. Alongside the tannic backbone of Nebbiolo, the more immediate expressions of Dolcetto find their place, offering a perspective that spans the entire Langhe region. The vineyards, distributed across Barolo, Roero, and Monferrato, reflect a broad vocation, where each cru bears the mark of those who have cultivated it for over a century. It is family continuity, more than any single vintage, that roots these wines in their territory. The winery is open to visitors: a tasting within these walls allows one to follow, glass after glass, how a management passed down for six generations translates into the character of four protected denominations.
