Azienda Agricola Corte Madonnina

On the coastal sands of Ferrara, near the Po Delta where Etruscan settlements once stood, Azienda Agricola Corte Madonnina has cultivated its vineyards for over sixty years. It's an unusual soil, shaped by millennia of fluvial deposits, which has anchored vines since Roman times and still influences their outcome today. From this sandy land comes Bosco Eliceo, built on Fortana and other red grape varieties that find a distinctive maritime microclimate here. The landscape bears the marks of long stratification—from Roman *villae* to medieval monasteries and Renaissance courts—and the wines somehow gather this memory, rooted in a strip of plain that the sea and river built together. The winery opens its doors to visitors: it's worth traveling the roads of the Ferrara coast and stopping at the cellar to taste Fortana right where the sand gives it birth.
